Why Paul Verhoeven.net?
I started this site in August 2002 because I could not find one single website on the web dedicated to this unique Dutch director. There are a lot of good single pages with info, articles and interviews and film-info, but not just one online resource which has all info you could want. So I decided to resolve the issue myself. The .com was allready taken (allthough there is no real site there) The .nl was owned by another Paul Verhoeven, so a .net seemed like the next best thing.
Less then a week after I launched this site, a second Verhoeven site appeared on the web!
